PPC: 20% Increase in Revenue

Seat Covers Unlimited, an aftermarket automotive e-commerce company, saw a 20% increase in revenue YoY with help from (un)Common Logic's PPC team.

Challenge

Seat Covers Unlimited specializes in custom-fit seat covers for all types of vehicles. In partnering with (un)Common Logic, our objectives were to increase orders and revenue while consistently maintaining a return on ad spend (ROAS) at/over 300%, a target they had previously found challenging to hit. Since partnering with UCL, Seat Covers Unlimited has achieved over 300% ROAS for 6 consecutive quarters while scaling revenue 2x in the first two years.

Our Approach

(un)Common Logic’s PPC team prioritized cohesion between keywords, ads, and landing pages across both Google and Microsoft platforms. Furthermore, user research was conducted on the site to inform messaging strategy, bolstering their efficacy. This was complemented by channel mix diversification and a strategic testing cycle to restructure the account towards highest profitability margins.

Results

(un)Common Logic’s Value-Based Testing Led to a 20% YoY Increase in Revenue at a 4% Better ROAS

  • 4% INCREASE IN ROAS
    • Focusing on high-value product offerings & optimizing towards profitability using manufacturing costs, (un)Common Logic achieved a 317% ROAS, a 4% increase from 304% in Year 1.
  • CHANNEL DIVERSIFICATION
    • Prior to (un)Common Logic’s takeover, non-Search campaigns accounted for 10% of monthly budget. (un)Common Logic increased non-Search spend to 33% in favor of networks with lower CPCs.
  • 15% INCREASE IN ORDERS
    • Continuous expansion and investment in full-funnel approach led to a more nurtured audience that resulted in 1,552 more orders from 1H 2023 to 1H 2024.
  • 20% INCREASE IN REVENUE
    • Close attention to the alignment of keyword, ad copy, and landing pages resulted in reduced user friction; this combined with continuous testing of new channels and creative ultimately led to a YoY revenue increase of 20% and at a 20% more profitable rate.
