Melissa Kortovich
Sales Manager
What is your background?
I’m an east coast girl who spent the bulk of my career in NYC working in the digital out-of-home space. I ran planning and strategy teams for the past 10 years. Moving to a Performance Marketing agency has been a challenging but refreshing pivot in my career.
What are your responsibilities at (un)Common Logic?
As Sales Manager, my job is to forge relationships. The marketing challenges every company faces have never been more complex and my job is to help clients assess those challenges and determine if we can help. I also focus heavily on developing strategic partnerships, creating win-win situations wherever possible.
What’s your favorite thing about working at (un)Common Logic?
Without a doubt – the people! I get to work with the most hardworking and talented team. There is a family-like culture at (un)Common Logic where everyone is willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?
No two days are the same! It also the most exciting part of the job. Every day you are faced with a new challenge, which makes the work hard, but rewarding.
What makes Austin special?
TACOS! (Kidding!) It’s a special place for our family as this is where we chose to settle down and raise our family. It was a big decision to leave NYC and our friends and family there, but we feel in love with the family friendly vibe of Austin (and leaving the snow and cold behind also helps!).
Anything big happening this year outside of work?
Family travels! We love to travel and experiencing that with our kids brings us so much joy! We try to do at least 1 big trip a year and this year we are heading to Costa Rica!
What’s the story you love to tell or the trick you love to do at parties?
Parties?! With two young kids at home, who has time for parties?
