Yuval Gilor
SEO Manager
What is your background?
I became interested in digital marketing while working for my father (who owns a health store) and wanted to help him get into this world. So, we built a website on a terrible platform, and it didn't make sense to me that it was so hard to advertise and promote a business online, so I started researching and learning the field and fell in love (I can ask endless questions and keep researching?! Perfect for me). Since then, a few years have passed during which I was mostly at the agency, I also experimented as an in-house for a short period and then returned to the agency world.
What are your responsibilities at (un)Common Logic?
Making sure that our clients are reaching their full potential while looking at what best suits their business objectives, what will move the needle and contribute to their growth.
What’s your favorite thing about working at (un)Common Logic?
The people! Every meeting starts with a "Happy X-day!" It doesn't matter if it's 8 am on Monday or it's Friday at 5pm, it's always happy - and that's despite everyone being incredibly busy.
What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?
It depends (; On a serious note, 2 things: 1. SEO evolves rapidly with AI, voice search, and new search features. Adapting to these changes while maintaining core SEO principles is crucial for success. 2. SEO requires a long-term approach, while clients often expect immediate results. Effectively managing client expectations involves clear communication, realistic timelines, and demonstrating progress with meaningful KPIs. These two challenges keep me on edge, committed to being up-to-date and sharp, and also to continuing to learn and improve all the time - I already said at the beginning that this is perfect for me!
Anything big happening this year outside of work?
I might be moving to Austin... Oh no, it might be next year’s big thing!
What makes you (un)Common?
I LOVE the gym! So bad that I get up at 4 am to hit my daily session long before the sun is up.
